65% Of Muslim in Indonesia Illiteracy of Al Quran
Research from the Quranic Science Institute (IIQ) in 2018 reveals a heartbreaking fact: 65% of Muslims in Indonesia cannot read the Quran. This is deeply ironic for a country with one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. How can a nation renowned for the beauty of its Islamic heritage face such a harsh reality?
How did it happen?
In remote areas, mosques and schools struggle with severely limited resources. Many Qurans available are torn, weathered, or too few in number, forcing students to take turns reading. This lack of access creates barriers to connecting with the Quran’s teachings and understanding its divine message.
Ramadan, the blessed month of mercy and reflection, is the perfect time to deepen our relationship with the Quran. It’s a time to read, reflect, and act upon its wisdom. But how can our brothers and sisters do this if they lack access to the Quran?
This Ramadan let’s transform this challenge into hope. By donating a Quran, you’re not just providing a book you’re sharing knowledge, faith, and a lifelong connection to Allah’s guidance. Your contribution will help eradicate Quran illiteracy and illuminate hearts with the light of divine words.
This campaign is more than charity, it’s a bridge to Allah for our underserved siblings in remote Indonesia. Insha’Allah, every letter read, every verse memorized, and every lesson practiced from these Qurans will become eternal rewards for you, the donor.
Your donation is an investment in this life and the hereafter. Together, let’s make this Ramadan unforgettable by bringing the Quran’s light to those still waiting in the darkness.
Act now!
Every Quran you give is a step toward salvation and a brighter Ummah. The targets of the distribution are mainly the underdeveloped, farthest, remote areas of Indonesia (Daerah Tertinggal, Terdepan, dan Terluar, 3T). The waqf will be given to individuals, boarding schools, and Al-Qur'an learning centers. We aim to provide 55,000 copies of Quran in total, valued at $10 each copies.
